Mary Bartelme Park covers an entire city block and offers 1.4-acres of land to experience. The dog park is situated on the western side of the area which is sunken in at a lower level than the rest of the park. This is just one of the five distinct zones the park offers visitors. The fountain area, children’s area, an open landscaped lawn and viewing hill are some of the other amenities offered to visitors.

The dog park is one large, completely fenced in area where pups of all ages and sizes can play together. There is a concrete area and an artificial grassed exercise area where dogs can kick up their heels. For some additional fun, different agility pieces of equipment can be used, such as ramps to run up and down, steps to climb, and ledges to perch from! Your pup will have a great time inventing a unique way to play with their newfound friends. 

To keep cool in the hot and humid Chicago summers, this dog park offers continuously-filling dog water bowls, so no need to carry your own. There is also a mist station for you within the fountain section of the park. Be sure to make use of the doggie clean up stations to keep this dog park clean!
