Are you and your canine companion looking for some new friends to play with? If you are in the Chicago area, check out Ohio Place Dog Park on West Ohio Street where your pooches can run off-leash and play without restraints. Your little buddy will find lots to do and many pups to play with in this grassy park with all diffurent types and sizes of dogs enjoying the same area together.Â
This furrific park is free to all and has one large fenced area for fur babies of all sizes. It is long enough to throw a ball or frisbee as far as you can, so your four-legged friend can get some of that energy out with much-needed exercise. The Ohio Place Dog Park does have some seating available in the way of plastic chairs that you can move to wherever you want to sit and watch your pup play with the other canine kids.
The Ohio Place Dog Park is mostly grass with plenty of shrubbery and trees for shade, as well as for sniffing. There is also a space that park goers call âthe dunesâ because it is a sand hill where dogs can run and jump in the sand. Bring a towel and brush to get all the sand and dirt off your pup before heading home. They do offer plastic baggies for cleaning up after your little buddy, but you should bring some extras as they do run out in this popular place. A water fountain accommodates both dogs and their humans, but it is shut off in the winter, so bring your own water during that season. Be sure your fur buddy is up to date on all their shots and has a license before coming to the Ohio Place Dog Park. ID tags should be worn on their collar at all times.Â
You are both sure to have a blast at this pawesome park and may even make it your new favorite spot to hang out.
