Jinx Dog Treats

Jinx Dog Treats

Jinx Dog Treats

Jinx has an extensive range of dog treats, with 14 options from dental chews to broth-infused biscuits.

Broth Biscuits

Two Jinx Broth Biscuit recipes are available: beef and chicken. Pearled barley is the top ingredient, with a quality cut of meat in the top three ingredients. Each biscuit is 35 calories, meaning they're too calorific for general training but can be used as a high-value reward.

Tiny Treats

Jinx Tiny Treats are specifically for training. They're less than two calories per treat and are super tasty, with a quality cut of meat as the top ingredient. Jinx adds banana and sweet potato to aid digestion. Jinx Tiny Treats come in two flavors: chicken and beef.

Jerky Tenders and Bites

Jinx Jerky recipes are slow-smoked to add flavor. A quality cut of meat is the top ingredient in all recipes. With 12 ingredients or less, Jerky Tenders have relatively few ingredients, making them suitable for sensitive stomachs. Each Jerky Tender is 35 calories. Chicken, beef, and salmon recipes are available.

Jinx Jerky Bites contain ingredients similar to those of Jerky Tenders. For example, both chicken recipes are nearly identical, except Jerky Tenders contain sweet potatoes. At ten calories per bite, Jerky Bites are better for training than Jerky Tenders.

Dental Chews

Jinx Dental Chews come in three sizes: small, medium, and large. They're marketed as containing limited ingredients, with no meat by-products, soy, corn, or other fillers. The top three ingredients are chicken, sweet potato, and rice flour. Jinx Dental Chews are high in calories, with the small chews containing 80 calories each.

Why Wag! likes Jinx

Here are just a few reasons why Wag! gives Jinx 4 (and a half) paws up!

Made in the USA with high-quality, locally sourced ingredients

Except for some essential vitamins, all ingredients in Jinx dog food are all sourced from suppliers right here at home.

Jinx dog food is also made at US facilities that are certified with the Global Food Safety Initiative. To get certified, manufacturers must undergo a rigorous independent audit for food safety practices.

Ideal for dogs with food sensitivities and digestive issues

Easy-to-digest foods, like meat, broth, and veggies, are the first five ingredients in all of Jinx's complete and balanced recipes. Patented probiotics also help with digestion — pawfect for dogs with sensitive tummies.

Lots of variety

Jinx dog food comes in several flavors and textures, from chunky stews to canned pâtés. Jinx caters to pups of all dietary needs and preferences, including those with grain allergies and food sensitivities.

Widely available

Jinx products are sold at online retailers and big-box stores across the country. To set up a recurring delivery schedule right to your door, sign up for an account on the Jinx website.

Recipes for all life stages

Jinx's canned wet food and dry food recipes are formulated for all age groups, regardless of size or health. That means you won't have to switch your dog to a new food as they get older or if they're pregnant. (Note that Jinx Homemades pouches are only suitable for adults.)

Concerns & considerations

Here are a few things to keep in mind before purchasing Jinx dog food.

Not human-grade

While many of the ingredients in Jinx dog food are human-grade, its foods are not suitable for human consumption. For example, Jinx's chicken is hot-extruded, which makes it feed-grade and unsuitable for humans.

That said, this doesn't affect the quality or nutritional value of the food. All recipes contain all the nutrients your pup needs to thrive — but it's something to keep in mind if you're keen to feed your pup a human-grade dog food.

Pricier than some alternatives

Jinx is a premium dog food, meaning its products are more expensive than some of the other kibbles you'll find on the shelf.

For example, a 4-lb bag of Jinx Beef & Sweet Potato Kibble costs $18 when bought as a one-off purchase. One can of Jinx wet food costs $4.

What pet parents say about Jinx

"My Saint Bernard has struggled with loose stool and gas with many low and high end kibbles I found Jinx on a whim and now its what she gets and her digestion is much better."

"My pup Lili is a 9 months Yorkie / Poodle mix. She went crazy for this product and was sniffing & licking the bag before I could get it into her bowl. When I placed the bowl in front of her, she ate without any issue. I like that you can see the whole ingredients and that they are created with the health of my dog in mind with no unhealthy fillers!"

Jinx history

Jinx launched in January 2021 with backing from some famous figures, including actor Will Smith, singer Halsey, and rapper Nas. Jinx is headquartered in LA, with manufacturing plants in Georgia and Kansas.

The company was founded by Terri Rockovich, Michael Kim, and Sameer Mehta. The idea of starting a dog food business came to Rockovich while trying to find a dog food that her pup, Blitz, would wolf down.

In September 2022, the brand announced a partnership with actor Chris Evans and his rescue dog, Dodger. Chris has given several interviews about the collaboration, calling it a "good partnership" with a team that shares his love for dogs.
