Center Ave/ W Avalon Rd
Approximately 17 miles away from Rockton, there is the pawfect doggie park for your playful pup: Paw Print Park. This 17-acre dog park is fully fenced and has a double gated entrance for the maximum safety of your canine friends. Don't worry if your pooch is smaller in size because there is a separate area for doggies under 25 lbs. You can purchase an annual permit, but if you're just passing through, you can also pay a daily fee on-site. Drinking water is available in the park for both humans and canines, and there is also a hose so you can clean up your pup's paws!36

Harlem
Canine Corners Dog Park is another pawssibility close to Rockton where doggies can make new friends and get plenty of exercise. Just around 10 miles come between you and this pawesome four-acre park. An important thing to know is that the park is membership-based. Other than the fact that this place is very clean and the regulars there are extremely friendly, Fido can roam around in separate areas according to their size! Buckets filled with water are available for the thirsty pups, as well as plenty of pooper scoopers and trash cans. You'll also find seating areas and plenty of doggie toys to make the experience even better for your pooch.24

East Rockford
Elliott Dog Park is 18 miles from Rockton, in the eastern part of Rockford. The park is fairly large, giving pups the opportunity to run to their hearts' content, and there are two separate areas for small and large pooches. This park is membership-based as well, so if you're just passing through, this might not be the right place for you. If your four-legged friend is a fan of some good ol' mud rolling, this park will provide plenty of mud for them to wallow in, especially after a rainy day! Water is available here, but you'll need to bring your own waste baggies.12

E Racine St
Approximately 20 miles away from Rockton, you and your doggo can visit the great Palmer Park Off-Leash Dog Area, located in Janesville. The park offers pawlenty of scenic views and grassy areas that you can both explore! Doggos are allowed off-leash, but you should be aware that the area is not fenced. That should not worry you, though, because once you start walking along the paths, you will be surrounded by wilderness, so you won't need to worry about traffic or getting lost. (At least, as long as you stick to the trails!) Make sure your pooch is protected against ticks and bugs!
