Along the coastline of Sandusky, the neighborhood of Bayview sits. It is a wonderful place to spend time with your dog! With so many access points to the water, your dog can swim and splash to his heart’s content. Along East Bay Road, you and your furry friend are free to walk the shore, where you will find lots of green space to wander through. Martin Point has treed green space and open clearings, where you can play a game of fetch with your pup. There is also an unmarked park on the corner of Sunset Plaza and W Cayuga Trail where you will find an open field and benches as well.

Cedar Point

The neighborhood of Cedar Point allows residents, both human and canine, quick and easy access to a beautiful park called Pipe Creek Wilderness Area. If you and your dog love to watch the birds, there is a birding trail you can both explore and see how many you can spot. Have a pooch who loves water activities? This is a great place to launch your kayak and get out on the water together! The park provides residents with a vast amount of wooded trails to explore, and water to splash in. Keep your eyes peeled, as it is a wilderness park! You may find more than just birds.

Washington Street

The neighborhood of Washington Street is situated right along the Dock Channel, where residents can take their pooches for quick access to the water. Along the shoreline you will find beaches and green spaces where you can let your four legged companion sniff the flowers and watch the boats dock. Washington Park is a nice area to take your dog walking through. There is a fountain in the park as well as paved walking paths. There are little flower gardens to sniff and admire, and a gazebo in the middle of the park as well. Have a rest on one of the benches and take in the beautiful scenery around you!

Sandusky

The neighborhood of Sandusky is located right around downtown, giving it a hustle and bustle feel. The residents of this neighborhood spend time with their pups at a couple of different parks! The first is Miami Park. Miami Park is a large, wide open space that is not fenced in, so if you are playing with your pups here, make sure they are well behaved! The park has a playground and benches, and some trees scattered around. Jaycee Park, on the southern end of the neighborhood, is a large neighborhood park and is great for off leash walks. There is also a playground here, as well as benches and a pavilion with covered picnic tables.

Downtown Sandusky

Along the shoreline of Downtown Sandusky, you will find Shoreline Park, with benches, a playground, covered picnic tables, and lots of green land to play in. Since it is right off the water, don’t be surprised if your pup runs in! Along the pavilion in the center of the park are bushes and flowers for you and your pup to get a nose full! As there are marinas surrounding the park, you and your pup can watch the boats go by and dock! Battery Park is another great park in this neighborhood, with lots of space to play. There are washrooms, a playground and skate park, and picnic tables throughout.
