Bel Air
Bel Air, Maryland is 16 miles south of Delta, Pennsylvania. Ma & Pa Dog Park is located at 703 North Tollgate Road. This dog park has three fully fenced enclosures for off leash exercise and socialization. One area is set aside for small dogs. The ground is a mixture of grass, and wood chips. There is a water fountain, bowls, and doggie waste bags. A gazebo in the middle of the dog park gives a place for human companions to sit in the shade and supervise their pups. Mature trees give added shade to scattered benches, too. A couple pieces of agility equipment let dogs have some variety in their exercise.

Glen Rock
Glen Rock is 26 miles west of Delta. Glen Rock Dog Park is located at 5400 Fair School Road. Glen Rock has two fenced, flat and grassy fields for off leash running and getting to know a furry pal or two. One area has 1.5 acres of land, and the other -- for small dogs -- has .75 acres. The dog park has a couple of benches for the human companions, but not much shade. There are water fountains designed for both dogs and people. Outside the dog park are some paths, and open fields for on leash exercise for both dog and person.

Lancaster
Lancaster is 28 miles north of Delta. Lancaster has many sights, sounds, and smells for dogs to experience. Beau’s Dream Dog Park at Buchanan Park is located at 901 Buchanan Avenue. This dog park is divided into a small and large dog enclosures. It has some pretty unique features. The surface is blend of turf and a colorful rubber. It has a splash pad, and there are built-in tunnels. A tennis ball tree hurls out tennis balls, and gives the canines a chance to show how high they can jump. A covered platform of seats gives the human companions a place to take in the wonder of pups in a spectacular variety of things to do.

Drumore
Drumore is 16 miles north of Delta. Susquehannock State Park has many things for a dog and its person to do. This state park has 224 acres of scenic forest land that envelopes the Susquehannock River. There are many hiking areas for a dog and its person to enjoy together on leash. This state park also has observation points to spot bald eagles and other kinds of birds and waterfowl. Picnic sites make for a good day trip or weekend adventure. Daytime use is from sunrise to sunset. Dogs are permitted to camp in the state parks, and are allowed to stay in the cabins.

York
York is 35 miles north of Delta. John Rudy Dog Park is located at 400 Mundis Race Road. This dog park has 13.5 total acres, and contains three separate fenced enclosures. One area is set aside specifically for small dogs. John Rudy is also called Canine Meadows. The expansive grassy areas of the dog park give dogs the freedom to run and socialize off leash. Canine Meadows has water fountains, and places for the human companions to grab some shade. Doggie waste bags are supplied at the dog park. Canine Meadows is open from 8 a.m. until dusk.
