You will need to keep your dog on his leash while out in public in Central Port Deposit, but you will find plenty of things to distract your dog while walking so that he won’t even notice. You will find the Granite Run Taproom is a wonderful dog-friendly establishment if you need a place to stop and have a meal with your dog with plenty of outdoor tables to choose from.

Arrowhead Acres

Arrowhead Acres is a pretty, quaint little neighborhood just a few minutes away from Central Port Deposit. Your dog will love going for long walks with you in the afternoons in this area. Just make sure you have plenty of waste bags for your adventures. Arrowhead Acres is just a few minutes from the water, so it is the pawfect place for a splash on a hot day. This neighborhood is also just a short drive from the Hollywood Casino, where you and your dog can enjoy a pup-friendly meal at Jumbo Jimmy's Crab Shack. You will find plenty of places to sit in their outdoor area with fellow dog-loving casino-goers!

BainBridge

BainBridge is a small neighborhood to the north of the center of town. This gorgeous part of town is full of beautiful yet simple single-family dwellings, as well as some privately owned apartment buildings. Most of the housing is dog-friendly, so you will be able to find the pawfect place for you and Sparky to call home if you are planning to move to BainBridge. Just make sure you have plenty of clean waste bags with you at all times to make sure your dog doesn’t leave a mess on someone’s lawn. This neighborhood is close to the main road, which will easily take you west to the Union Hotel Restaurant. This quaint eatery welcomes you and your dog to enjoy your lunch or dinner at their outdoor tables.

Steel Island

Steel Island is a small island to the west of Port Deposit. The island has a small population of residents that spills over onto the land to the east of the Susquehanna River. If you want a great outdoor area that your dog can enjoy with you and some tennis balls, you can head over to Rock Run Steel Island Park for the morning. If you need a little more space, there are plenty of open fields where your pup can run around and roll to her heart’s content. In addition to Rock Sun Steel Island Park, you will find Steel Island is just a hop and a skip from the Susquehanna State Park, which is a huge forest and watershed area that is worth spending some serious time exploring with your dog.

South Port Deposit

South Port Deposit is home to a large marina. This makes it the perfect neighborhood for nature lovers who enjoy being on the water. If your dog has a nautical side, you will both love South Port Deposit for its huge water culture. The area is otherwise very calm and quiet and is great for relaxing walks after a long, challenging day. South Port Deposit has easy access to the I-95 bridge, which will take you right to the K-9 Cody Dog Park in Havre de Grace, just 20 minutes away. Your dog's tail won't stop wagging once he sees all of his friends waiting for him at the gate!
