The Pebble Beach Drive neighborhood, in the town of Elkton, southeast of Zion, is home to Meadow Park Dog Park. Here, your pup can enjoy some leisurely time off leash to play with his pup-tastic friends. There are separate fenced-in areas for small and large dogs, and lots of grass to roll in. Visit the rest of Meadow Park to enjoy strolling on their paved walking track, or fishing in their pond. There is also a playground for the kiddies. Afterwards, head to Rita’s Italian Ice, or dine at the Hurricane Grill and Wings restaurant’s five outdoor dog-friendly patio tables!

Elkton Town Center

Elkton Town Center

You will find a paw-tastic place to take your pup in the neighborhood of Elkton Town Center, in Elkton, Maryland, southeast of Zion. Hollingsworth Park is full of open spaces for Fido to roam and lots of woods to explore. There are a few trails along the Little Elk Creek which surrounds three sides of this park. Dogs must remain on leash here. Be sure to clean up after your pup as well. When you both get hungry, head to Minihane's Irish Pub & Restaurant. How about trying Bangers and Mash to enjoy at their dog-friendly patio seating? Bone Appetit!

Fairhill

Fairhill

The Fair Hill neighborhood in the town of Elkton, Maryland, lies southeast of Zion. Take your pup to the Fair Hill State Natural Resources Management Area, which covers a whopping 5,656-acres. It is the perfect place for you and your fur-ever friend to enjoy the day outdoors. There are plenty of open spaces and woodlands to explore. This dog-friendly area has designated swimming areas for your pet to enjoy. You may leave Fido off-leash here while playing in the water or in other marked areas.  Why not pack a nice picnic lunch for you both to enjoy with relaxing in nature?

North East

North East

North East, Maryland, is a town south of Zion where you will find the great Elk Neck State Forest. This 3,571 acres full of pawtastic adventures is perfect for you and your adventurous pup! The park is divided into four different tracts with various amenities. Try the Main Tract’s 2958-acres or the Black Hill Tract’s 370 acres for hiking explorations on its many trails. The Shady Beach Road Tract and the North East Tract are to enjoy ‘off-road’ adventures! There are plenty of areas at both where your furry friend can enjoy some off-leash time. Remember to pack food and water!

Nottingham

Nottingham

Nottingham, Pennsylvania lies just north of Zion, and is home to the Nottingham County Park. It’s 651-acres are jam-packed with incredible features for humans and dogs alike. There are nine picnic pavilions, three playgrounds, and plenty of open spaces to roam. You and Fido can hike Buck Trail’s 3 miles to scenic overlooks of the area, or the 1-mile fitness trail which has 18 fitness stations!  ,Pups need to be leashed. Want more adventure? Take your pup to William Penn State Forest and explore its 1683 acres of trails! Be sure to pack food and water for this great day’s adventure!
