Millersville is a charming borough nestled in Lancaster County, the heart of Pennsylvania’s Dutch Country. Millersville was originally founded in 1761 by John Miller. During the 18th century, Miller operated a blacksmith shop and hardware store. His family’s homestead, which was built in 1763, is now Millersville University. As a college town, Millersville has a vibrant atmosphere. Unfurtunately, there isn’t a veterinary clinic in town, but you can find veterinary care in nearby Lancaster should you need it.

You and your pup can literally spend days exploring the heritage and beauty of Lancaster County. Set up base at the Blue Rock Bed and Breakfast. After a day out and about, settle in for the night with your pooch in the Cabin Family Suite. You’ll pay just a small pet fee, but that’s nothing compared to the memories you’ll make with you pooch. Each morning, enjoy a scrumptious home cooked breakfast before heading out for the day.

Freedom Memorial Park is Millersville’s only park, so the local dogs go mutts over this place! Take your pup for a stroll around the paved walking path. He’ll love exploring the well manicured grounds and wandering through groves of mature shade trees.

No doubt about it, your pup will love spending time in Millersville!

Greider Park is a furrific place to spend some quality time with your four legged friend. Grab his leash and head over to this West Lancaster park for an afternoon of chillaxing in the park. Let your pup’s nose be the guide as you wander around the grassy field. He’s sure to track some interesting smells. There are also a couple paved loops. The longer one clocks in at .44 miles while the shorter one is .36. If you have an athletic pup, you’ll probably have to circle the loops several times. Pack a sandwich and some biscuits for your pup and stay for lunch. Lay a blanket under a tree or snag one of the picnic tables.
