The preserve is large at 290 acres, and is home to a lot of natural beauty, including canyons, trails, creeks and so much more. Dogs are allowed in all areas on-leash, but there are some parts where dogs can be off-leash. The trail is not very long, but the positive side is that it’s really shaded and perfect for escaping the summer heat. Make sure you bring water and waste bags with you. Markley Creek Dog Park is just 5 miles away from Pittsburg in West Antioch. The park is not very large, just 2 acres, but it offers a lot for your pooch.
