Diablo Hills is a bustling neighborhood in Walnut Creek, with quick access to major highways and tons of shopping and dining opportunities. The neighborhood is also the lucky home of The Gardens at Heather Farm, a gorgeous botanical garden on six acres of amazing scenery, with tons of local events, picnic areas, and a relaxing atmosphere. At the northern end of the Gardens is Heather Farm Dog Park, an off-leash park with areas for small and large breeds. The serene park is reminiscent of the gardens environment, so it’s sure to be a relaxing yet fun place for you and pup to enjoy.

Overlook

The Overlook neighborhood of Walnut Creek is paws deep in the middle of the shopping district in town. This neighborhood is perfect for dog owners who love to window shop with their pups, and it’s still super close to fun outdoor adventures in Walnut Creek. Broadway Plaza Shopping Center is a popular place for dog owners to enjoy with their pooches. The outdoor shopping plaza welcomes leashed dogs to walk the sidewalks, and many of the stores even allow well-behaved pups inside! Somerset

If you’re looking for a more serene outdoor adventure away from the busy shopping district of Walnut Creek, Somerset is the answer! Located on the southern end of town, this small area doesn’t house a lot of people, but it has plenty of outdoor space to enjoy. Here, you and your pup will love what’s known as the Sugarloaf Open Space area, which features three miles of trails of varying skill levels, picnic areas, camping areas, and more. It’s one of the best places in Walnut Creek to let Rover run and enjoy the beautiful surroundings at his own pace.

Just over four miles west of Walnut Creek is Downtown Lafayette, the bustling center of the city.
