Downtown Marianna
In the Downtown neighborhood of the city of Marianna, 9 miles east of Cottondale, you and your fur-ever friend can enjoy two pawtastic parks! Start with the Madison Street Park. This small park features open grassy areas to walk with your pup, a splash pad for the kiddies, and plenty of picnic pavilions with tables. Then head to the Wynne Street Park which offers a basketball court, a playground for the kiddos and shaded picnic facilities. Relax the day away together. There are restrooms on site at both locations. Please keep your pup on leash and clean up after them.36
Southeast Marianna
Pack up your pup and head to the Central Marianna neighborhood of the city of Marianna, 9 miles east of Cottondale.Here you will find family and pup-friendly Spring Creek Park. If you like fishing, this is the place to be. Bring your pole and your enthusiasm and see about catching dinner to share with Fido! There is a well-traveled boardwalk that your pup will absolutely love, so this is the place to take Fido for an on-leash stroll together. You will find restroom facilities and plenty of water fountains on site. Remember mutt mitts to keep this park pristine.

South Chipley
Head to the South Chipley neighborhood in the city of Chipley, 10 miles west of Cottondale, with your fur-ever friend and spend the day at Falling Waters State Park. There are two pup-friendly on-leash hikes which Fido will love. Try the Sink Hole Trail boardwalk hike to the waterfall that is touted as Florida’s highest. Or take the two other walking trails which meander throughout the beautiful forested landscape. These two trails are rated as challenging for some so plan accordingly. Plan to go fishing in the two-acre stocked lake and take a picnic lunch to share under the pavilions.

North Marianna
In the North Marianna neighborhood, of the city of Marianna, 9 miles east of Cottondale, you and your pawtastic pup can enjoy the Caverns State Park.This park offers areas for hiking, which are rated as fur-iendly for pups and horses as well! And don’t miss the great fishing spots on the Chipola River. Try the Blue Hole spring to catch some dinner for you and your pup, or take Fido on a canoe or boat ride. There are picnicking spots perfect for sharing lunch together and camping facilities for an overnighter. Pups are welcome on leash throughout.
Mccall Lane/ Mashburn Road
The Hinson Conservation and Recreation Area in the Mccall Lane/ Mashburn Road neighborhood of the city of Marianna, 9 miles east of Cottondale, offers 226 acres of outdoor adventure along the Apalachicola River. This fantastic place features the Hinson Trail, which meanders around the perimeter of the park. Be sure that your pup is in pawtastic shape as this trail is ‘rugged’ in many areas. Take this hike For 4 miles to complete the circuit and pass by the Alamo Cave for a scenic view. It is advised to pack plenty of water for you and your pup to share.
