Williams Acres
Williams Acres is home to Wesley Chapel’s only park: Wesley Chapel District Park. Dogs are allowed on-leash in this fun 143-acre park. The park’s amenities include baseball and softball fields, a tennis court, and a fitness trail where you can take your dog for a nice long walk. You can also enjoy a meal in the park’s picnic area, which has grills available for anyone to use. Grill up some hot dogs or hamburgers for yourself, and be sure to bring your pup their own special picnic treat! Your dog will love spending the day in this park.

Seven Oaks
If you want to shop with your furry best friend, this neighborhood is the place for you. Seven Oaks is home to the Shops at Wiregrass, an outdoor mall. The mall is pet-friendly, and some store owners will even let you bring your dog inside. (Just be sure to ask first!) There are a few water bowls in the shopping center, but if your dog tends to get dehydrated quickly, you might want to bring a water bowl with you. After you’re finished shopping, grab lunch or a snack at one of the mall’s many pet-friendly restaurants, including Panera Bread, Cantina Laredo, and Fresh Healthy Café. You and your dog will have a pawesome time shopping ‘til you drop at the Shops at Wiregrass.

Sulphur Springs
If you’re looking for somewhere your pup can do some off-leash running, head to Rowlett Dog Park in Tampa’s Sulphur Springs neighborhood. This park is about sixteen miles from Wesley Chapel, and it has separate areas for large and small dogs. Both areas have obstacles for your dog to climb on. There’s also a water filling station available. When your dog is done playing, put them back on their leash and take them for a walk through Rowlett Park. This furiffic park has two miles of asphalt trails that go along the Hillsborough River and through oak and pine hammocks. This park is the perfect place to spend the day with your best friend!

Davis Islands
The Davis Islands neighborhood in Tampa is home to the pup-tastic Davis Islands Dog Beach. This off-leash dog park is about 24 miles from Wesley Chapel, and it includes a fenced grassy play area and a fenced dog beach. Fill up your dog’s water bowl by the entrance to the beach, and then let your pup run off-leash in the sand. Water-loving dogs will be in heaven as they splash through the Hillsborough Bay’s warm waves and clown around with all the other dogs on the beach. If your dog gets messy playing in the sand, don’t worry — there’s a rinsing station you can use before you head back home.

Valencia Gardens
If you’re looking for a pawesome dog park for your pup, drive over to Wesley Chapel’s neighboring city, Land O’ Lakes. In this city’s Valencia Gardens neighborhood, you’ll find the Land O’ Lakes Recreation Complex Dog Park. This dog park has large and small dog areas that both have drinking fountains. Your pup will have a great time running through the dog area's tunnels and sniffing the fire hydrants placed throughout the dog park. As your dog runs around, you can sit and watch on the park’s shaded benches. Bring a ball or two, and have a fun afternoon with your pup at this dog park.
