There is a nice trail that you and your pooch can take a hike together, since this village takes care to preserve its natural area. This trail is an old rail line that is part of the Rails-To-Trails program. It is a 6.7-mile hike and the surface of the trail is crushed stone and gravel. This trail will take you through woods, across prairies and provide you with an up-close view of the farming fields, most of which are corn. There is a creek along the trail, and you'll also see many different types of birds along the way. You will need to pack supplies for your journey, such as water and doggy waste bags. The trees will provide shade from the sun. You also can see the some silos and barns along the trail. Try out this trail and see how far you and Fido can get!
