High Street

If you want to take a long walk with your leashed dog, head over to this Logansport neighborhood and hop onto the River Bluff Trail. This 1.3-mile trail follows the Eel River, and it has great views the whole way through. The trail is flat and paved, making it easy for your dog to walk on, and there are plenty of trees to keep the path shady and cool on hot days. Bring water and doggy bags with you, and have a great time walking this path with your pup! If all that walking makes you hungry, head over to nearby Buffalo Wild Wings. This casual eatery has dog-friendly outdoor tables and serves all your sports bar favorites.

Riverside Drive

This Logansport neighborhood is home to two beautiful parks where you can walk your pup on-leash. If you want to get amazing views of the Eel River, check out Riverside Park. This park offers a paved pathway that winds alongside the Eel River. Your dog will love sniffing around this trail! After you’re finished at Riverside Park, walk over the pedestrian bridge to the other side of the Eel River and check out Huston Park. This 80-acre park has paved walking trails through the woods that you can explore with your pup. Bring some doggy bags and water, and have a great time exploring these two Logansport parks with your dog.

Downtown

If you’re looking for a spot where your pup can play off-leash, Mehlig Dog Park is perfect for you. This dog park is about 24 miles from Logansport, and it includes separate areas for large and small dogs. The park also has lots of agility equipment for your dog to play on, including ramps, hoops, and hurdles. If your dog gets thirsty after playing on the equipment, water is available for them. After the dog park, continue your fun day out with a snack or lunch at Cook McDoogal’s Irish Pub. Sit at one of their dog-friendly outdoor tables, and enjoy traditional Irish fare, including corned beef and cabbage, fish and chips, and Shepherd’s pie.

Cedar Crest

Cedar Crest is home to another woof-derful off-leash area: Mohr Dog Park. Located 29 miles from Logansport, this dog park offers separate areas for big and small dogs to play in. Both areas are fenced and double-gated, keeping your pup safe while they play. Both areas also have plenty of space for dogs to run around, and there are lots of trees to keep the park cool on hot days. While your dog plays, you can watch from one of the park’s picnic tables. Water fountains designed for both humans and dogs are available here. Your pup will pawsitively love spending the day in this park!

North Washington Street

This Delphi neighborhood is located 24 miles from Logansport, and it’s home to Wabash and Erie Canal Park. If you want to see the whole park, take the Wabash and Erie Canal Loop Trail. This 1.7-mile trail gives you amazing views of the canals, and you’ll also get to see the historic Red Iron Bridge and Stone Arch Bridge. Dogs are welcome on-leash in this pawesome park. If you need a pick-me-up after the park, head over to Garden Gate Tea House. This cute tea house allows dogs at their two outdoor tables and serves over forty types of teas. To eat, they offer soups, salads, and sandwiches.
