There's a puptacular trail that runs along the northern border of town. You can access the Oak Savannah Trail near Colfax Road in Oak Ridge Prairie. This paved pathway starts in this park and heads east for 6.25 miles to Hobart. Dogs on a leash can join you here.
Want to plan a special outing for your canine pal? Take him about 11 miles southwest of town to Lemon Lake County Park. This 403-acre facility includes an off-leash exercise area for dogs. There are separate sections for small and large dogs to run and play here. You'll need to purchase a pooch pass to use this furrific 14-acre space.
Another pawtastic place to go exploring with Spot is Deep River County Park off Old Lincoln Highway. Dogs are allowed to join you on the trails that wander through the natural areas located north of US Highway 30. Remember to bring water and waste bags with you.
