Book nowHi there, I'm Shanna! I have loved having dogs around me all my life, from one grandmother's obedience show dogs to the other grandmother's many adopted strays to the rescued Boxer who was my best friend as a kid, to the goofy fluffball spaniel back home in NH who shuns me whenever I pack to come back to Boston. I personally took both of my dogs through obedience training classes, and worked as a walker and sitter for neighbors for several years. I have been a pet sitter for oodles of other animals, from cats to chickens, and have several years of equestrian work and training experience as well. I can't have a dog with my current work schedule and apartment, so helping your furry friend get some exercise will be a wonderful way for me to get some canine companionship! I can't wait to meet your dog!

Park Street
This Hudson neighborhood is home to two community parks that welcome dogs on-leash. This includes the lovely Wood Park. This park has a short, unpaved trail that leads you to a scenic bridge over the Assabet River. The park also has open fields where you can walk your pup through the grass. Bring some doggy bags and water for your dog, and enjoy walking here. If you’d like to fish with your pup, check out this neighborhood’s other park, Lamson Park at Tripps Pond. Take your pup for a leisurely stroll around the pond, and then relax and enjoy fishing with your furry best friend.

Looking for a place where your dog can play off-leash? Head over to Cat Rock Park. This unfenced, off-leash dog park is 16 miles from Hudson, and it has tons of space for your dog to run and play. You and your pup can go for long off-leash walks on Cat Rock Park’s beautiful forest trails. You can also play catch with your pup on the park’s large fields. If your dog gets hot after playing, they can go for a swim in Cat Rock’s cool pond. There’s also water available for them in the park. If you want to go for a snack after the dog park, head over to Dairy Joy. This old-school drive-in welcomes dogs at the outdoor tables and serves classic burgers, hot dogs, and sundaes.

The shortest of these trails is the Blue Trail, which goes in a short loop near Winning Pond and Vietnam Veterans Park’s playground. If you want to go for a longer walk, take the Green Trail and Orange Trail. Together, these two trails will take you on a loop around the park, and they offer beautiful views of the forest and the Concord River.

This Framingham neighborhood is home to another furiffic park, Callahan State Park. This 820-acre park is just eight miles from Hudson, and dogs can be off-leash through most of the park. The only places they must be on-leash are in the parking lots and on trails that are adjacent to private property. Besides that, pups are free to run and play off-leash on the park’s beautiful hiking trails and open fields. If you want to get a bite to eat after your hike, head over to CJ’s Northside Grill. This casual restaurant allows dogs at their ten outdoor tables and offers classic all-American dishes, like meatloaf, burgers, pot pies, and more.

This dog park is 25 miles from Hudson, and it includes one large fenced-in field where dogs can play and make new friends. The dog park is covered in mulch, and there are boulders for your pup to climb. There are also picnic tables for owners to sit at while their dogs play. Bring water for your dog with you, and have a pawesome time playing here. After the dog park, continue your fun day out with a snack at The Cake Bar, a bakery that allows dogs at their four outdoor tables.
