Blue Hills Reservations is set up with over 125 miles of hiking trails that you can bring your dog to. You do have to keep him on his leash throughout most of the park, but there are a couple of marked areas where he can run and play as long as he is voice trained. If you are feeling adventurous, or want a mini vaca, you could reserve a tent spot and spend the night. It is a beautiful place for camping. Houghton Pond is located here also. Bring some snacks and have a picnic out in the fresh air!

Back Bay

You should grab your favorite book and your puppy and head over the aptly named Wired Puppy for a cup of coffee. This is a quaint little coffee house that is set up for you to come in and get cozy with your puppy. They offer all your coffee shop favorites like scones and muffins. If the weather is nice, you and your dog could grab a patio table and enjoy the fresh air. You are sure to make a friend or two if you are looking to socialize. You could also make this your secret place and hide from the world.

South Bend

Sometimes, you just want a good plate of brunch. Fear not -- there’s a place nearby you can go with your pup in tow. That place is Blunch. They offer all your favorite breakfast, lunch, and brunch items. You can bring your dog to any of their outdoor tables. The even offer Nitro Cold Brews for you to sip on. The locals rave about their baked goods. From cookies and brownies to bagels and muffins, your mouth is going to start watering as soon as you see their sign. Oh, and there is even a bowl of treats at the door for you to share with your fur baby!

Nahant Bay

Nahant Dog Beach is located just a little ways down from Nahant Island. It is about ten to fifteen minutes from Milton. Your dog is allowed to come with you and play in the sand off of his leash. He can even splash and play in the water. Don’t forget to bring drinking water because there is no running water on this beach. However, they do provide doggie poop bags and trash cans so that you’re able to clean up after your pup. This beach makes it easy to spend time with the whole family, even the furry members!

If you are looking for a good sized dog park that will allow your dog to socialize and play with other dogs, then you just need to travel about twenty miles. Wrentham Dog Park is a big dog park that has water bowls in every corner. There are plenty of sitting areas for you to sit and watch your pal play while you chat with other pet owners. You will love that there are trash cans and poop bags available. There is even a patrol that comes and changes the bags out every couple of hours. You can tell that this park is well cared for by the community.
