Heritage Park
Heritage Park is a neighborhood in the center of Farmington Hill, and this furrific area is a great place to visit for anyone looking to experience nature. It is the home of one of the city’s best parks, the appropriately named City of Farmington Hills Heritage Park. The park covers over 200 acres, so you’ll find a lot to explore there. Heritage Park's features include a picnic shelter, in-ground grills, horseshoe pits, and even a splash pad! Dogs are welcome on leash through the nearly five miles of walking trails which wind through the beautiful woodlands that bring so many visitors to the Great Lakes region every year.

Canterbury/West Franklin
Canterbury/West Franklin is a pawsome neighborhood in northern Farmington Hills that is definitely worth a visit if you’re traveling through the area with a canine companion. A good first place to stop is the southern side of the neighborhood, where you’ll find Pioneer Park. It is a small community park with sports fields for local youth teams, and it is a nice place for a relaxing stroll. 8 Mile Rd/ Farmington Rd
Farmington 8 Mile is a wonderful neighborhood south of Farmington Hills. It is one of the most dog-welcoming places in the area, and it is a great setting for a walk outside through the suburban town blocks. You are bound to run into some local dog owners outside with their pooches. There are a couple of small creeks which run through the neighborhood providing a relaxed backdrop for your promenade, and there is even a nice community park that welcomes dogs on leashes. Bicentennial Park is a pawesome place for you two to stretch your legs; it features walking trails as well as sports fields and playground spaces.

North Farmington is a must-visit neighborhood in Farmington Hills that has plenty of activities available for those accompanied by their dogs. It's home to Woodland Hills, a fantastic park encompassing over 75 acres. Make no bones about it, this is a great place for a walk through nature with your canine companion—you can find brush, forest, field, and wetland environments, and there are nearly two miles of trails through the park.
