Downtown Albertville
Downtown Albertville is an exciting place to be, and there are several places to visit here, including restaurants, cafes, and shops. One such restaurant is called Neighbors Eatery and Saloon, and it just so happens to be dog-friendly! There are three outdoor tables at Neighbors where your dog can join you as you dig into dishes like pasta, burgers, sandwiches, chicken, seafood, and a whole lot more. After your meal, you and your dog can walk to nearby Lions Park for an on-leash walk. This beautiful city park has gazebos and picnic areas, and it's the pawfect place to spend some time in Albertville with your dog.36

Lake Orono Estates
In only 20 minutes, you and Fido can drive to western Elk River, Minnesota and arrive at Lake Orono Park. This 28-acre park has activities for the whole family to enjoy, including fishing, boating, playgrounds, sports, a beach, and an off-leash dog park. The Lake Orono Off-Leash is one fenced-in section where large and little dogs interact in the same area. There's fresh drinking water available for dogs to drink, as well as a play fire hydrant, trees, and seating areas for pet parents. Throughout the park, there are plenty of trails for you to trek with your dog when they're on a leash as well.24

Southwest Champlin
Less than 20 miles from Albertville sits the Elm Creek Reserve Dog Park in southwestern Champlin, Minnesota. This off-leash park is part of a larger recreational area with winter sports, a swimming pond, an archery range and nature center, and a disc golf course. The off-leash area is vast, sitting on more than 29 acres of land, and in that space, there's an all dog area, as well as a separate enclosure for small or frail dogs. If your dog is a swimmer, there's even a fenced swimming pond for aquatic canines! Visitors recommend bringing a towel in case your dog decides to swim, as well as a supply of drinking water.12

Plymouth is the seventh-largest city in Minnesota, and it's home to about 77,000 people. The northwestern corner of the city is less than 20 miles from Albertville, and that's where you'll come across the Plymouth Dog Park. This off-leash park has a very large area near a forest for big dogs to play in, but it isn't entirely fenced in. There's also a separate section just for small dogs that's completely enclosed. Within the dog park, you'll see a variety of agility equipment for adventurous dogs to try out.
