Dog Walking in Lake Elmo

Lake Elmo, Minnesota is a great place to go if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. Most of the land in this city is used for farming, which gives it more of a country or rural atmosphere. This makes it a nice place to relax and enjoy nature.

Your canine friend will enjoy this city as much as you do! You won't want to miss the Lake Elmo Park Reserve during your visit. This reserve is full of wildlife and acres of beautiful scenery. Only a portion of the park is nature reserve, and the rest has been restored to its all-natural state. Your pooch is allowed to accompany you here as long as they stay on their leash. There are several trails that stretch throughout the park, which provide gorgeous views of the surrounding landscape.

Want to have some fun with Fido? This city is known for its many dog-friendly and dog-centric events, so be sure to check online for events happening during your visit. And don't worry about resting your weary heads; there are a few Fido-friendly hotels in this city that will welcome your pup with a smile.

This neighborhood is located about 11 miles from Lake Elmo, and is a great place for you and your pooch to bond. If your pooch likes water, then this is the perfect spot for a day of splashing and frolicking in the surf. The White Bear Dog Beach located here is happy to welcome your pooch, but your pal can't go on the public side of the beach. Your canine companion will love the sand under his paws! The water is shallow enough that your pup can wade in it or swim. You will need to keep an eye out for rocks, as some of the access to the water can be a little rocky.  There are no waste bags provided, so you will need to bring your own. Since this is a beach, there isn't any shade here, so you will want to bring an umbrella and water for both you and your pooch. This is a great place to have a fun day in the sun!
