The town of Saluda is unique in that it's located in both Henderson and Polk Counties. Saluda is most known for sitting on top of the Norfolk Southern Railway, which was once the steepest main line standard gauge railroad line in the United States. But this small town isn;t just about rails- it also boasts love for its pups too! Home to one great veterinary clinic, Saluda is a fantastic spot to take Fido for a fun day out.

Take your furry friend out to Perason's Falls and Glen for a great day of adventuring and exploring. The park is perfect for hiking, regardless of how much experience you have had. The park also offers bathrooms and a picnic area where you and Fido can relax before finishing your hike up to the falls. Make sure to bring your camera to take some great photos of you and Fido.

After a fun day out, your pup is going to be hungry. Grab a bite to eat with your furry friend at The Purple Onion. This fantastic eatery serves lunch and dinner with a wide range of food from pizza to fine dining. They have a great selection of craft beers, plus they offer a huge outdoor patio where Fido is welcome to join you for your meal.
