Bayside

Bayside has its very own dog park, and it does not disappoint! The Little Bay Dog Run overlooks Throgs Neck Bridge and the water, and along with the great views, there is great fun to be had here for both dogs and owners. There are separate sections for big and small dogs at Little Bay, and the park also provides visitors with shaded seating areas, water fountains, and clean-up materials. This park is known for being well-maintained and volunteers work very hard to keep it clean so everyone can enjoy it and get the most out of this Bayside dog park.

Battery Park City

Just 20 miles from Bayside is the Sirius Dog Run in the Gateway Plaza area of Battery Park City, New York. This dog park was named after a service dog who lost his life during the 9/11 search and rescue operations. This dog park isn't particularly big, but it's filled with activities to keep dogs busy and entertained. There are several obstacles and play equipment structures in Sirius Dog Run, and there are even doggie pools that automatically drain and refill every 15 minutes to keep them clean. The park also has seating, trees, and a water fountain, but be advised you should bring your own dog waste clean-up bags.

Midtown

Referred to as Jemmy's Dog Run or the Madison Square Park Dog Run, this great NYC dog park will be a new favorite of yours and Fido's! It's located in the Midtown area, and this busy and popular park is a pawfect place to meet new human and canine friends. Jemmy's Dog Run has separate big and small dog sections, a double-gated entry system, water, shade, and seating for everyone's comfort. The water supplied by the park often ends up freezing during New York's cold winters, so be sure to bring your own when temperatures drop.

Prospect Park South

It's about a 45-minute drive to Prospect Park Dog Park in Brooklyn from Bayside, but this trip is nothing compared to all of the fun that your pooch will have at this park! From 5 AM to 9 AM, and 9 PM to 1 AM, your dog can explore this park off-leash and even go swimming in a few areas of the park. They can also join you during other hours of the day, but they are supposed to be on a leash. Prospect Park is huge, and your dog will never run out of things to sniff and explore and other dogs to play with!

Fresh Meadows

Another neighborhood in Queens known as Fresh Meadows has an excellent dog park that is just a short walk or a ten-minute drive from Bayside. The Cunningham Park Dog Run is very spacious and fenced-in, and it has a good reputation for being well-kept. This park has separate sections for small dog breeds as well as bigger dogs. There are also two water fountains, bags for cleaning up any doggie messes, lots of shade and plenty of seating. The ground is a mixture of mulch and dirt, so be prepared for muddy paws if you head here after it rains.
