Prepare to have lots of fun with Fido at Cunningham Park, an extensive green recreation area with multiple walking trails to explore on-leash and a dog park where your pooch can go wild! Cunningham Park Dog Run houses a huge grassy area for off-leash chasing and playing. Occupying a significant part of southern Westbury, Eisenhower Park is one of the favorite places among locals and tourists, with mind-blowing summer events and movie nights, more than 930 acres of open space with multiple walking trails, tennis and golf courses, swimming opportunities, and a cozy place for pups to play off-leash! The dog park is fully fenced, well-maintained, and welcomes visitors from dawn to dusk daily. There are plenty of hounds to play with here! Your day will be even better if you finish it with a visit to TGI Fridays, where you and Fido can enjoy a burger at one of the outdoor tables. Don't forget to bring a leash.

Garden City’s downtown is a perfect place to skip a day of exercise and treat yourself to a gastronomic adventure. Running along Hempstead Lake, Lakeside Drive bumps into Southern State Parkway in South Hampstead, and leads to a doggie heaven on earth: Hempstead Lake State Park. This furrific park features an old-school wooden carousel, which is one of the favorite local attractions and a great place for pictures! Unlike many state parks, Hempstead Lake State Park has an area that's gone to the dogs (in the best way pawssible)! The Dog Area is located near Rockville Center and South Pond, which means your pup will have easy access to the water if they want to make a splash with their new furry friends. There are also plenty of hiking and biking trails around the pond and surrounding areas where you and Fido can play sleuth.
