This casual dining spot also welcomes your beloved hound! There are several outdoor pup-friendly tables. Head that way for a fun daily special like Wednesday Night Whiskey, Wine and Wings or Monday Night Moules Frites and Lobster Night. Don’t forget about weekend brunch! Once you’ve filled your belly with delicious food and your heart with quality time with your pooch, head down to Kew Gardens’s Forest Park Dog Run for some exercise! It’s only three miles away from Austin's Ale House.

Dubbed the “Forest Park Barking Lot,” Kew Garden’s only dog park is a local favorite. Nine thousand feet of luscious grass will have your pup’s tail wagging with joy. A fence encloses the off-leash area, so no need to worry about your precious pooch escaping. Rest easy about your canine socializing with others; different areas separate small dogs from larger ones. Central Queens has few off-leash opportunities for your hound, so take advantage of this space! Your dog will thank you. The park also includes a dog run. Visit the park is anytime between 9 AM to 9 PM.

Need a place to stay while you’re in the Kew Gardens neighborhood? Have no fear! Many of the local AirBnB rentals in the area are pet-friendly, and don’t charge an extra fee to let Fido stay with you! Rentals start at just $62 per night, and large dogs are usually allowed. Just keep in mind that pet policies will vary based on the host’s preferences, so be sure to ask your AirBnB host what their rules are on pets. Does your pooch need a wash or trim? Your best bet will be Sophie and Teddy's Grooming Salon. It’s the closest grooming business to Kew Gardens, less than four miles away. This family owned business offers affordable services, including nail trims, haircuts, baths, de-shedding treatments and even spa packages. You just need to call to make an appointment. Along with getting your dog a new ‘do, you can also buy dog treats, beds, harnesses, collars and more accessories. They’re open Monday and Tuesday from 10 AM to 5 PM and Thursday through Sunday from 10 AM to 6 PM They’re closed on Wednesdays. The dog park is open 9 AM to 9 PM.

Flushing
Take your pup to Flushing Meadows Corona Park, one of the most famous parks in New York! Explore the 1,255-acre recreational park, and learn about the environmental and historical importance of it with your pup by your side. Unfortunately, you pooch isn’t allowed inside the buildings, but there’s still much to explore from the outside. There’s also an off-leash area in Flushing Meadows Corona Park that will allow your pup to roam around! There is no admission fee, but your dog must have a license and rabies tags. Always clean up after your beloved canine. The dog park is open 9 AM to 9 PM.
