Directly adjacent to Pelham is Willson Woods in Mount Vernon, an incredibly green and scenic neighborhood to spend some time in. The highlight of the neighborhood is Willson's Woods Park, which is known for being one of the best parks in Westchester County. The park extends out for 23 acres, and is home to a million-gallon pool, a water park, fishing spots, a playground, and paved walking trails. Although dogs do need to be kept on a lead in this park, doggie bags are provided, so all you need to bring with you is some drinking water for yourself and Fido.

Glen Island Gateway
Less than a mile from Pelham is Glen Island Gateway in New Rochelle, and this is where you will find Neptune Island, which is connected to the city via a stone causeway. What your pooch will love most about Neptune Island is Neptune Park, as this spacious park not only boasts gorgeous waterfront views, but also large open grassy areas for Fido to play in. There is also a fishing pier and a dock here, as well as access to Cameron Dock and the adjoining Snarkey Park.
