Milton
The Milton neighborhood lies at the heart of Milton, and is home to some of the best parks in the borough. Brown Avenue Park will definitely be popular with your pooch, thanks to its newly upgraded amenities. In addition to the sports facilities and swimming pool located here, you will also find a playground, a fitness station, picnic benches, and a paved path for you and Fido to stroll along. Just a few roads away from Brown Avenue Park is Marsh Park, which is slightly smaller but incredibly scenic. This is more of a passive park, consisting mainly of grassy lawns and mature trees.

Lewisburg
Directly across the river from Milton is the Lewisburg neighborhood of Lewisburg, and there are a few parks worth checking out here. The largest is the Saint Anthony Street Park, where you will find several sports facilities, a playground, and a large patch of woodland. The Lewisburg Area Recreation Park is also in this neighborhood, with its skate park, sports courts, playground, pavilion and paved walking paths. If your pooch still needs more exercise, head on over to Hufnagle Park. Here you will find a few sports fields, scenic picnic areas, a playground, a pavilion and another paved walking path.

New Columbia
Just across the river from Milton is the small town of New Columbia, and there is a scenic hiking trail here that will keep you and your pooch busy for quite a while. The Kettle Hole Trail stretches out for about five miles, and will take you and Fido through beautiful forested areas, showcasing New Columbia's natural beauty. If the two of you need somewhere to spend the night, there are a couple of dog-friendly hotels in this neighborhood. The Quality Inn New Columbia welcomes two pets per guest room, with no additional fee charged, while the Holiday Inn Express Lewisburg New Columbia also allows two pets to stay in each room, but does charge a small fee for this.

Kapp Heights
About five miles from Milton is the neighborhood of Kapp Heights in Northumberland, and this is quite a large neighborhood, with plenty of natural features to be seen. This neighborhood hugs the West Branch of the Susquehanna River, giving you stunning waterfront views. The highlight of this neighborhood for your pooch will be Point Park, which boasts a playground and a few sports facilities. There is a paved path running through this park for you and Fido to follow, as well as mature trees surrounding the park for Fido to sniff around under. While dogs are welcome in this park, a lead, doggie bags and drinking water are essential.
Northumberland
About eight miles from Milton is the Northumberland neighborhood in Northumberland, and while you may need to travel to get here, this is the pawfect spot for your pooch to enjoy a long walk. The best place for this is the Liberty Hollow Park, a large passive park that is filled with dense woodland. There are several trails criss-crossing through this park, making it easy for you and Fido to explore all that is around you. Not too far away from here is Pineknotter Park, another passive park with beautiful waterfront views and a network of paved trails to follow.
