Tanglewood

Tanglewood is home to Hogan’s Run Dog Park, a Midland institution and fun zone for dogs. Hogan’s Run is fully stocked with everything dogs need to have a good time. First, there are separate areas for large and small dogs so everyone can find the playmates they need. Secondly, each side has an agility course! On top of all of that, they also have doggie sized water fountains. In the summer, the area has splash pools so dogs can cool off from the hot sun. Whatever your dog needs to have a good time, from room to roam to doggie friends to water, this park has it.

Mustang Industrial Park

Main Street Market in Mustang Industrial Park in Midland is an odd place to go. You may feel like you’re in the wrong place, but keep going! Past the Ace Hardware, Main Street Groceries, and RV Park is a real, actual, off leash dog park! It’s small, but fully fenced. It’s the perfect place to take a break from a road trip and stretch your dog’s legs. The area is divided for use by large and small dogs, and there are pet waste stations and water fountains in the park, perfect for cooling off after burning off some energy.

Cycles

Parks aren’t the only thing that dog lovers want to do with their pets. Big Sky Drive-In is a great place to take your dog for a night on the town. This throw-back to a simpler time allows dogs to join their owners in the comfort of their cars. Leash up if you’re walking the grounds between major features or to stretch your legs during a boring part of the film. The only place dogs aren’t allowed is inside the concessions area, so pack your own treats and dog treats… or you can get someone else to order for you.

Westridge

Beal Wagging Tail Off Leash Dog Park is a great place to unwind in Westridge. Located within the larger Beal Park, this dog park is a great place to sniff out fun times and run around. The park offers a shaded picnic area for longer play sessions, water fountains for dogs, and lots of room to roam. There are separate areas depending on dog size, so your pup will be able to play appropriately. When your dog is tired of running free, leash up and head into Beal Park. There’s a paved walking path that loops around the park and is sure to wear your excited pup out!

Hillander

Hillander’s Windlands Park is a great place to walk leashed dogs. Whether your dog is shy, iffy about recall off leash, or you just don’t have time to head to one of Midland’s off leash parks, Windlands Park is a great resource. It’s large, with several areas for sports and simple grassy spaces. You can walk laps around the park to quickly burn off energy, or make sure your dog gets his daily exercise. You can also keep your leashed dog with you when you use the on sight disc golf course, or host a family picnic. It’s a great place to exercise and relax with your dog.
