Patterson Acres
Patterson Acres in Midland, TX is about 45 miles from Andrews. This neighborhood is where you and your pup can enjoy some outdoor time at Hogan Park, which has over 600 acres of space to explore! From sporting fields to playgrounds to picnic areas to an enormous golf course, this place has it all. You and your leashed dog can walk the track for some exercise or enjoy a picnic lunch at one of the pavilions. Or, head to the dog park, which is fully fenced, has two areas for large and small dogs to stay separated, and even has some agility equipment for extra fun and challenges!

Royalty Heights
Slightly under 45 miles from Andrews, Texas is the Royalty Heights neighborhood of Odessa. Like many parts of Odessa, Royalty Heights has a couple of parks where leashed dogs are welcome: Central Park and Purple Sage Park. Although small, these parks are pawfect for when you want a change of scenery for walking your pup around town. Just be sure to clean up after him! You can also check out a couple of dog-friendly restaurants in the neighborhood. Rosa’s Café and Tortilla Factory is a local favorite for Mexican cuisine lovers, and there are several outdoor tables where you and Spot can grab a bit to eat.

Esmond Estates
The Esmond Estates neighborhood of Odessa is about a mile northeast of Royalty Heights. This neighborhood is where you’ll find the University of Texas of the Permian Basin, several dog-friendly hotels, and some restaurants that will welcome your furry pooch. There are quite a few chain restaurants where your pup can join you, but you can also try some local faves. The Cork & Pig Tavern is a casual spot with some fancy fixin’s, like filet mignon, New York strip steak, and yummy martinis. There are some outdoor tables here that make for the pawfect spot to have a meal with your furry friend.

Windgate
Just over 54 miles from Andrews is the Windgate neighborhood of Hobbs, New Mexico. This area has a few hotels where your dog is welcome to join you if you’re passing through. You can also sit at one of the outdoor tables with your four-legged friend at Tia Juana’s Mexican Grill & Cantina for some casual, authentic Mexican dishes, from fish tacos to burritos to quesadillas. Windgate also hosts a dog park called Del Norte Dog Park, which you can find near the public pool. This is a unique dog park in that it not only has separate areas for large and small pups, but it also has one larger area for them to play together!
Big Spring State Park Area
If you’re up for a drive, you can head to the Big Spring State Park area in Big Spring, TX, which is about 73 miles from Andrews. Big Spring State Park has over 300 acres to explore, and the area is a pupular spot for dog owners to bring their favorite pups. Your leashed dog is welcome to join you on several of the trails, with some offering incredible views of Big Spring from cliffs above. There’s also a TA gas station near the park that welcomes dogs to join their owners for a quick meal at an outdoor picnic table, and there’s also a dog-friendly place to walk dogs who need a break from the car.
