rtesia is a pupperific town where your dog will feel right at home. The town motto is, "Home of the Bulldogs," after their beloved sports team. You will find plenty of green spaces throughout the town where your pup can be a pup and get out all of that energy! The town has a rich history in water, oil, and farming since the late 1800s. The town was founded when large, free-flowing water wells were discovered in the middle of an otherwise parched part of the state. This prompted people to start moving into the area in droves over the next 100 years, making it the puptastic place that it is today! There is a dog-friendly deli right in town with outdoor tables and a carry-out window for your convenience.

There are two animal hospitals in Artesia where you will have no problem finding the care that you need to keep your pup going strong. Make sure you keep your pup leashed while walking through Artesia, as you are sure to run into many more dog walkers along the way! If you are looking for a city in the heart of Eddy County with plenty for you and your dog to do, this is the place to be!
