North Artesia

North Artesia has plenty for dog walkers and their pups to see and do. Guadalupe Park is one of several open green spaces in the area where you can throw around a ball or two, or lay out a blanket for a dog-friendly picnic! Just down the road, you will find the Martin Luther King Junior Recreational Complex. This recreational park is open for two- and four-legged visitors to get plenty of exercise during nice weather. Just bring plenty of drinking water and waste bags for your trip so that you won't have to rush to get home!

Central Artesia

Central Artesia is home to a large open park called Eagle Draw Park. This park has several different green spaces to choose from, complete with pavilions for larger family events. Your whole fur family will love packing up a bag and heading out to this park on a weekend for picnics, games of fetch, and plenty of room to walk. You will need your waste bags to help keep the area clean. You may also want to bring plenty of drinking water and a collapsible water bowl for your pup so that he can stay hydrated with you on those hotter days!

West Artesia

West Artesia is home to a variety of parks where your dog can join you as long as he wears his leash and you clean up after him. Davis Park is a small green space on this side of town if you are looking for a quiet place that doesn't get too crowded to take your pup for a walk after a long day. If your dog doesn't mind meeting other dogs and their humans, J-C Park is a pupular destination for all of the tail-waggin' walkers throughout the city of Artesia. There are lots of places to sit and enjoy the weather in this pupperific park as well!

East Artesia

East Artesia is home to Eagle Creek, one of the many natural water sources that helped the town grow and thrive. You will find some dog-friendly hotels in this area as well if you will just be staying in Artesia for a short amount of time. Baish Veteran's Park is just a short walk away from many of the hotels and is the pawfect place to take your pooch for a little exercise. Just make sure you keep Sparky on a leash and that your waste bags are in your pocket for easy clean-up.

South Artesia

South Artesia is a quiet area with two main parks that are popular with dogs. Central Park is a medium-sized open green area with plenty of room to roll around and enjoy the grass. You can also bring your book and a blanket and enjoy some shade by one of the trees if you prefer. Jamaica Park is another local park with lots of grass for playing fetch or just going for a nice long walk with your canine companion. Make sure you have plenty of drinking water if you plan on doing a lot of walking on hot days.
