College Station
Just about 25 miles from Somerville is a great dog park called Canine Station. It has everything that you could need or want right here at the tip of your pal’s paw. This park provides you and Fido with a great op-paw-tunity to take a load off after a long work week. Let Fido get off of his leash and run free for awhile. There are separated areas for big and small dogs, so Fido will find plenty of new fur-iends who are just his size to play with. Kiddie pools let Fido escape from the Texas heat in the best pawssible way!

Steeplechase
The Steeplechase Dog Park is across the city in College Station, which is about 25 miles from Somerville. The best thing about this park is that it is a family-friendly park. There is a children’s area where the kids can run and play. The many trails in the larger park are the pawfect place for an on-leash walk. Or, if Fido needs to stretch his legs, let him off the leash in the designated dog area! This is a leash-free park set up just for the fur citizens. Your pawsome pal will even find some streams to splash around in, too. Don’t forget to bring a towel!

Just a quick 29-mile trip from Somerville will bring you to Bryan, Texas. This is a fun-filled city full of fur-friendly activities for you and your dog to enjoy together. Dog Park at Morris "Buzz" Hamilton Park is a great place to start. There is a ton of stuff for Fido to smell and see. There are three separate fenced in areas for your pawesome pal to meet up with some new fur buddies. We’re pawsitive that he’ll love playing in the water features, or strutting his stuff on the agility course. On the other paw, you’ll enjoy relaxing in one of the shaded seating areas.

While you are visiting Bryan, you should definitely check out Carney's Pub and Grill. You are welcome to join your dog on the patio for dinner. The selection of beer is always changing, so you can try something new each time you visit. The fare is classic pub food with some of the best burgers in the area. You will like the live music on the weekends. Bring your leashed dog along and meet some new friends, or meet up with your crew to hang out and relax. The atmosphere is always fun and fur-friendly. The half-hour trip is well justified by the epic menu.
