East Strasburg
Centrally located to tourist attractions, the Carriage House Motor Inn is a furrific place to stay if you're traveling to Strasburg with Fido. This family-run, barn-style motel welcomes pets 35 lbs and under in specified rooms, so call early to book one! All rooms come with free Wi-Fi, coffee makers, refrigerators, flat-screen TVs with cable, and breakfast vouchers to Speckled Hen, another dog-friendly establishment just across the street. Enjoy some artisan food and craft coffee at one of their outdoor tables. Back at the Carriage House Motor Inn, there is a secluded, 2-acre lawn area at the back where your pooch can get some exercise in.

Northeast Paradise
Should you and Fido find yourselves in nearby Paradise Township, head to the Paradise Community Park for a leashed walk and relaxing picnic. With the Pequea Creek flowing through it, the Paradise Community Park features a playground, a picnic area, pavilions, athletic fields, and a walking trail that goes around the perimeter of the park. A community building, which accommodates group meetings and indoor activities, can also be found on-site. While the Paradise Community Park is mostly open space, there are several trees that line either side of the creek to provide shade and serenity. Remember to bring doggie waste bags for cleaning up after Fido.

West Lampeter Township
Home to the local YMCA, Village Park in nearby Lancaster is a puptastic, family-friendly spot for spending a beautiful afternoon with the kids and Fido. This park also contains a playground, a band shell, a hockey rink, ball fields, and a walking path for tiring your pup out. Once Fido's all nice and tired, wind down and hang out at Lampeter Cafe, which is just a stone's throw from the park. Share an outdoor table with your pooch at the patio, where you can dig into a full meal or a quick snack. Gluten-free, sugar-free, and vegetarian options are available for diners with different dietary preferences.

Willow Acres
Located next to Mill Creek, the East Lampeter Township Community Park in nearby Lancaster is a great place for both you and your pup to get a good workout in. If you're looking to add some challenge to your daily walks with Fido, you'll be pleased to know that the park's paved walking paths not only go up and down steep hills, but are also dotted with exercise stations. After working up a sweat, travel about a mile to DJ's Taste of the 50's, a pooch-friendly eatery inspired by the soda shops of the 1950s. The covered and gated patio has a window for ordering so you don't have to go inside.

Conestoga Heights
Puppers that love the outdoors will have a barking good time at the Lancaster County Central Park in nearby Lancaster. Covering 544 acres on the southern edge of the city, the Lancaster County Central Park is home to the county swimming pool, a skate park, a camping area, the popular Garden of Five Senses, and numerous trails. Fido is welcome to join you on the trails as long as he stays leashed. Trails include the Fitness Trail, which features nine exercise stations; the Mill Creek Trail, which will lead you and your pooch through a natural area preserved for wildlife; and the Wildflower Trail, which travels through a wooded area where several species of wildflowers can be seen.
