If you want to go for an on-leash hike with your pup, Little Manatee River State Park is perfect for you. This furrific park is only 16 miles from Apollo Beach, and it has a 6.5-mile hiking trail that provides amazing views of the Little Manatee River. If you want to go for a shorter walk, the park also has a one-mile trail called the Oxbow Nature Trail.

This lovely neighborhood is home to Apollo Beach itself. This furtastic beach welcomes dogs on-leash. While you’re here, you can go for walks on the white sand or dips in the Gulf of Mexico. You can also enjoy a picnic at one of the beach’s picnic tables. There are doggy waste stations located around the beach, but be sure to bring water with you for your pup. After exploring the beach, continue your fun day out with lunch at Circles Tiki Bar. Both areas have large fields where your pup can run, sniff, and make new friends. There are also fun tunnels for your dog to run through. If you or your dog get thirsty, dog and human water fountains are available. if your dog gets messy while they’re playing, there are also dog showers in the park. Located 21 miles from Apollo Beach, this off-leash park has one large, fenced-in area where dogs can play and meet other pups.
