The city of Eagle, Idaho, lies in the foothills around the city of Boise, in the southern portion of Idaho. It is a small and friendly community which encourages all things outdoors. This is the perfect place to visit with your pawtastic friend. And if Fido is ever in need of care, Eagle offers five veterinary clinics to take care of any health concerns.

To start the day off right, take your pup to the Ada/Eagle Sports Complex. It covers 85 acres and offers you and Fido sports fields, an extensive system of biking and hiking trails, picnic areas and restrooms. Next, head to Reid Merrill Park for some observation time of the wetland area on site. Be sure to keep your pup on leash while strolling through this beautiful area. For some relaxing time with your fur-ever friend, Orval Krasen Park has plenty of open space, picnic shelters and restrooms with water available.

When you get hungry, there are nine dog friendly restaurants you can visit with your pup, including On A Roll Deli, Chicago Connection Pizza, and the Schnitzel Garten. They all offer pet-friendly seating on their patios.

The Storey Dog Park, located inside the larger Storey Park, is chock-full of fun! This park has everything – separate large and small dog areas covering 2 ½ acres, special relaxation shade shelters, agility obstacles, benches for people to relax, restrooms, dog-fountains, people fountains and doggie clean up stations. Within the beautiful grounds is Centennial Dog Park which has two separate areas for large dogs, and an independent area for the little guys! Dog clean-up stations are provided, but plan accordingly as there is no water or shade available. After your pup has some off-leash time, take the Greenbelt Walking Path around Rotary Pond on the 2 ½ mile path or 1-mile loop. Afterwards, dine at the Dutch Goose for lunch or dinner at their outdoor pet-friendly tables.
