Magnolia is as beautiful as its name. This small borough located in Camden County is one of many such communities found in the Garden State. This community welcomes people with a furry family member. The town doesn't have a veterinarian, but many can be found in the adjoining communities.

Four parks in Magnolia call out for an outdoor stroll in some green space. Albertson Memorial Park consists of an upper and lower level. The upper level has picnic pavilions and the lower one has more benches and a gazebo. The Billy Tavener Park has open green space that lies adjacent to the wetlands. A person and a leashed pup can enjoy a whiff of nature here! 

Eugene Landin Park has some open grassy spots for a person and a pup that need to get out of the house. A small picnic area makes this small park a relaxing spot. Roosevelt Park is the smallest of the borough's parks. It offers a landscaped garden to captivate the senses and a few benches for a rest while exercising your four-legged companion on a leash.

For a bigger taste of nature, a visit to one Camden County's twenty-one parks may be just the ticket. Newton Lake Park is just one of those parks, and it's just five miles north of Magnolia. It has 103 acres of recreational space and boasts three picnic areas, fishing, and a 2.43-mile bike/walkway.

Blackwood is located five miles south of Magnolia. Timber Creek Dog Park offers a woof-wonderful nine acres of freedom to run in and explore off-leash. This fully fenced dog park has one space for dogs of all sizes and features a double-gated entry. The main park has sixty acres of recreational space and many more trails to hike on-leash, including paved trails for easy walking. The lake is open for pups to take a dip on one of those hot summer days. Numerous picnic spots let you and your pup eat some lunch or a snack after an exhilarating day romping free in the woods!

Voorhees is located six miles east of Magnolia. Connolly Dog Park features a fully fenced play place for your pup to get acquainted with some furry friends. This dog park has a separate area just for the smaller dogs. The ground here is soft and sweet-smelling grass and dirt. Water fountains are located within the park for people and pups. Pet parents have plenty of picnic tables and benches from which to watch their furry pal play. Trees provide shade throughout. The dog park provides doggie waste bags for convenient cleanups. For more exercise, the main park has a walking track, but a leash is required on it.

Mount Laurel is located thirteen miles north of Magnolia. Laurel Acres Dog Park serves your dog's need to get off that leash for awhile. This dog park features two areas that are fully fenced. One area is set aside for smaller dogs. The ground in the dog park is mostly grass with large dirt patches. Mud can be a problem, especially after a hard rain. Be ready to wash your pup after the fun is over. Waste stations provide waste baggies so picking up should be a breeze. Benches can be found throughout the dog park. More shade, though, will be found in the large dog section.

Medford is located fourteen miles east of Magnolia. Freedom Dog Park delivers on its name! This dog park is twenty acres of woods, creeks, and nature for dogs to claim as their own. This off-leash park has one area for dogs of all sizes. It's also not fully fenced, so make sure your dog responds well to vocal commands. Plenty of benches can be found throughout the park for the human companions. The dog park has a water station for people and pups. Pet parents can also enjoy a hike through the woods with a leashed dog on one of the main park's many wooded paths.

Pennsauken is located fifteen miles north of Magnolia. Cooper River Dog Park is one of the many outdoor amenities of the main county park. This dog park -- or Pooch Park, as the county calls it -- has two fully fenced areas for dogs to throw away the leash and run free. One section is reserved for small dogs. There are water fountains in the dog park. The ground has areas of grass and gray stone. Many benches provide comfort for the human companions. Shade trees make this a comfortable place to visit on even the hottest day. This dog park is also lighted for evening use.
