The small town of Millis is located in Norfolk County, 30 miles from downtown Boston. The surrounding areas offer an array of options for dog-friendly fun, whether you prefer exploring walking trails or playing in dog parks. Millis itself may not be a place of interest for dog owners; however, its closest neighbors -- Holliston, Medfield, and Norfolk -- have plenty to offer! If you need a helping paw or your buddy feels a little ruff, there are 9 veterinary clinics in Norfolk County, most of them located within 25 minutes of Millis.

Cedariver is a wonderful hiking area just east of downtown Millis, near the Charles River. This is a former riverside farm area with loop paths and a place to doggie paddle! Pooches love exploring more than 50 acres of woodlands and open fields. The striking variety of flora and fauna will fascinate you. However, remember to keep your furry baby on their leash, and don't disturb the animals and birds!

Travel west of downtown to find Oak Grove Playground, another wonderful facility where you can walk with Fido and enjoy the scenic environment. Keep in mind that the park is very popular in the afternoon, (which is great if you aim to socialize!), but has no drinking water.
