SkyTop Orchard is a place that you pawsolutely have to visit if you plan on going to Zirconia! This rich orchard has a "pick-your-own" policy where you can pick out juicy fruits on your own, or you can choose from a wide variety of prepackaged grapes, apples, pears, and pumpkins. A lot of jams, honey, gift baggies, donuts, and other treats will make you glad you visited! Your pup can follow you everywhere through the orchards as long as he's well-behaved and on-leash! You and your pooch can explore the extensive grounds of the orchard and see a bamboo forest, a couple of ponds, meet barnyard animals, and hang around with a lot of other doggie visitors!

Druid Hills
It doesn't matter if you have a small or a large doggo, if you need a place where those two can play separately, head around 9 miles north of Zirconia and you will find Pets' Own Place. The park is located next to Mud Creek, just a couple of miles outside Hendersonville's Druid Hills neighborhood. Cool water is provided by a water spout, and waste baggies are available as well. Your dog will surely meet some doggie friends here, and while waiting, you can relax on the benches provided. Parking is also available close to the park for your convenience.24
East Mills River
Just around 19 miles away from Zirconia, you can visit the Mills River Dog Park, located in the eastern part of Mills River. The sections are divided for doggies under 25 lbs and over 25 lbs. The ground has a grassy part and a gravel part, plus a little sidewalk. The park is fairly large, very well-maintained, and provides fresh water. Waste baggies are also provided for cleaning up your pooch's messes. For the loving dog pawrents, there are shaded seating areas and restrooms near the park. Flat Rock
Pulliam Creek Trail is a moderate trail that you can experience in the company of your pup, and it's located around 11 miles away from Zirconia. The trail is located near Flat Rock, and it's a 5.7-mile long trail out and back. Doggies will enjoy this hike on a hot day since there is a river where they can cool off. The trail can be steep in places, and it's not considered to be a kid-friendly trail. (It is fur-kid-friendly, however!) If you're feeling more adventurous you can even kayak the river! Doggies have to be on-leash while hiking, and you have to clean up their messes as a responsible doggie pawrent.
