The Mark Mills Battleground State Park is a great park to enjoy with your furry pal, which commemorates an area where the Civil War was fought. The park offers a great paved walking path that you and Fido can get a walk in on, plus trees for shade and an open area for fetch. This park tends to be busy since it does host groups for history tours, and there are re-enactments of the battle that took place at this park, so be aware of the event calendar if you have a shy pup. While visiting, your dog needs to stay on leash. Only eleven miles out of Fordyce in New Edinburg, your pup will have a fun time at this park.36
Tyro / Crigler
The Cane Creek State Park in Star City is a fun park to check out with your pup. The park offers a guided walking, biking, or kayaking trip all year round, plus they have a picnic area, pavilion for shade, and boat launch. Take a nice walk on the hiking trails that go throughout the park, but pay attention to signs since there are some areas that Fido isn't allowed in. The park also has a playground and restrooms for owners. Located in Star City, forty miles out of Fordyce, your pup will love visiting this pawsome park with you by his side.24

If Fido is looking for a great hike to do with you, head over to the Trace Multi-Use Trail, aka Daffodil Trace Trail. This beautiful trail is 2.1-miles long and is paved the whole way. The trail is covered in trees to help provide shade, and is known to be popular with the locals around town, so your dog will have a ton of people to interact with. While hiking, keep your pup on a leash, and don't forget to bring water and clean-up bags along with you. After a great hike, stop into Postermasters Grill and chow down on some tasty food. They have a large outdoor patio that welcomes your pup with a menu that is inspired by Southern cooking. Located 31-miles out of Fordyce in Camden, your dog will love checking out this new trail.12

The East Camden City Park is a huge park that is filled with great amenities. The park offers a playground, swings, tennis courts, and basketball courts for your enjoyment. If you and Fido want to have a picnic, then this is the spot for you since there is a pavilion for shade and a picnic area with a grill. The park is open daily from dawn until dusk, giving you and your pup ample amount of time to go and explore it together.
