The Shady Grove area is outlined by Shady Grove Road, stretching from downtown Hot Springs past Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Expressway. This is where you'll find Hot Springs Creek Greenway Trail, a 4-mile trail that meanders along Hot Springs Creek. The trail offers a variety of terrain to explore, including woodlands, urban areas, parks, and pit-stops where you can grab a bite. Hot Springs Bark Park is an off-leash alternative to hiking. This spacious facility has a fence, two separate sections for small and large breeds, and pawesome, friendly locals year-round! You'll need to bring your own water and waste bags with you.

Hot Springs National Park
If you're looking to enjoy a mixture of culture and wilderness, Hot Springs National Park is the place to go! This alluring park invites you and Fido to enjoy miles of walking trails in an urban setting built atop the natural hot springs. Cultured canines might get a kick out of The Gangster Museum of America, which is entirely pet-friendly and loves when furry babies visit its gift shop and exhibitions! You just have to keep your buddy on a short leash. And what's a day out without shopping? Pickles Pet Pourri is a fun place where you can choose the best outfit for your fur-baby! They also offer a free bowl of water to every tail-wagger.

Hot Springs Village
Hot Springs Village is a nice and sparsely populated spot nestled between Lake Desoto and Lake Cortez. Located about an hour and a half from Prescott, the village has a small-town allure and is home to the vast Cortez Golf Course, making it a favorite spot for outdoorsy pups and people. Desoto Dog Park, located not far from Mill Creek and Desoto Nature Trail, welcomes visitors with pooches year-round from dawn to dusk. This spacious facility has enough room to run and play with furry friends, as well as seating for the pet parents and drinking water fountains. However, the fountains only operate seasonally, so please bring water if visiting in the winter.

Lake Park
Lakepark Drive in Hot Springs is where you'll find Entergy Park, nestled on the banks of the Ouachita River. There aren't any commercial areas or shopping facilities in this remote neighborhood, but you and your pup won't mind too much, since Entergy Park is the pawfect place to play the day away! The park features walking trails with scenic views, several picnic spots, and plenty of room to explore. If you're playing on an empty stomach, head over to Bubba’s Catfish and Seafood, the closest pet-friendly eatery to the area. This laid-back spot has a walk-up window and dog-friendly outdoor tables where your pooch can beg for a bite!

Citizens Drive
Citizens Drive wanders throughout the southern part of Benton, located just over an hour from Prescott. Quiet and clean, the area is never busy with tourists and offers several public parks and recreation areas. You and your buddy will want to make a beeline for Benton Dog Park. This is a wonderful facility for pet owners with hyper hounds! The spacious terrain is covered in grass and is protected by a fence, keeping escape artists safe and sound. There is enough room to exercise, play fetch, or chase some new tails here. The park has benches and adequate shade, but no drinking water.
