This 5,401-acre facility has nature trails, river access, and campsites for your enjoyment. Hike with your special pal through the woods and by the river in this wilderness. Pets must be on a lead or cord and under restraint. Bring water and waste collection bags for your outing.

Vandervoort

The village of Vandervoort is just 7.7 miles north of Wickes. This small community includes some houses, a few farms, a public school, and two parks. Take a walk in the country with your pooch out here. A furrific area where you and your fur baby can exercise outdoors is the Vandervoort Picnic Grounds and Ball Field on AR-246. There's a baseball field, open space, and a shelter on this property. Bring your canine companion here to watch a game or to play ball together. Make sure Fido is on a lead, and remember to bring bags to collect their waste.

Grannis

About 4.6 miles south of town, you'll find the small community of Grannis. This sparsely populated town has a chicken plant, some farms, single-family homes, and a few small businesses. Bring your tent or RV and share an outdoor vacation with your furry friend. Spend the day fishing or investigating the grounds, then sleep under the stars. Pets on a lead can accompany you. Remember to collect any droppings.

Gillham

Gillham is just over ten miles south of Wickes. Out here, you'll find farms, private residences, a post office, and a few local businesses. About six miles west of town, you and your best four-legged friend can sniff out another pawesome camping area. Take Fido to Bellah Mine on DeQueen Lake. This facility has modern campsites, a boat ramp, a picnic shelter, and fishing. Bring a canoe or boat to get out on the water with your furry pal. You can also blaze a trail through the woods together. Pets may come here as long they're on a cord or leash.

De Queen City Center

De Queen's City Center is just over 20 miles south of Wickes. This neighborhood includes some hotels, residential streets, a commercial district, and a poultry plant. You'll also find a pupful recreational property on Haes Avenue. At Herman Dierks Memorial Park, you and your four-footed friend will be able to get some fresh air together. This facility includes benches, a paved walking path, picnic areas, and athletic fields. Take a stroll with Spot around the lit trail or play frisbee in the grass together.
