This 26-acre community park is located on the scenic San Lorenzo River, and it has trails that go by the river and through the nearby woods. There are also open fields where you can play with your pup or go for runs with them. Bring some water and doggy bags, and have a pawesome day out at this park. If you’re hungry after the park, bring your pup with you to Tyrolean Inn Restaurant. This restaurant welcomes dogs at their outdoor beer garden, and they serve delicious Bavarian cuisine.

Seabright

Seabright is home to the always fun Seabright Beach, where dogs are welcome on-leash. This beach is located 11 miles from Ben Lomond, and it has a long shoreline where you can take your dog for walks on the sand. After your walk, sit on the sand with your pup and enjoy the views of the Pacific Ocean. Bring some water and doggy bags, and have a fun day at the beach with your dog! After you’re done at the beach, grab lunch with your dog at Aldo’s. Sit at their dog-friendly beachside patio, and enjoy freshly caught seafood dishes. Your server will also happily bring out a water bowl for your dog.

West Cliff Drive

This Santa Cruz neighborhood is home to another pawesome dog-friendly beach, Mitchell’s Cove Beach. This beautiful beach allows dogs on-leash anytime, and they’re allowed off-leash before 10:00 AM and after 4:00 PM. Your pup will love running and playing in the sand and splashing in the cool water of the Pacific Ocean! After you’re finished at the beach, continue your fun day out with lunch at Santa Cruz Mountain Brewery. This taproom and restaurant allows dogs at their beer garden, and they even have treats available for your pup! Some of their delicious food options include French pastries, sandwiches, and fish tacos.

Kings Village Road

Looking for a place where your dog can play off-leash? Check out Scotts Valley Bark Park, which is just seven miles from Ben Lomond. This 1.2-acre park has separate areas for large dogs and small/shy dogs. Both areas are covered in mulch, and they have plenty of space for your pup to run and play. There are tons of toys for your dog to play with, and there are plastic kiddie pools your dog can splash around in on hot days. If all this fun and excitement makes your dog thirsty, water is available. Your dog will always have a good time at this pawesome park!

Huntington Drive

This Aptos neighborhood is home to another furrific off-leash area, Aptos Dog Park at Polo Grounds Park. This dog park is about 17 miles from Ben Lomond, and it has separate large and small dog areas. Both areas are fenced and covered in wood chips, and there’s tons of space for pups to run around. There are also lots of benches for owners, and there are water fountains for your pup. If you want to go for a snack after the dog park, check out the Red Apple Café. This casual café welcomes dogs at their outdoor tables, and the wait staff will bring water for your dog. As your dog enjoys their drink, you can dine on tasty sandwiches, omelets, burgers, and more.
