There are a few natural trails here which you and your pup can tackle: The Graham Hill Trail, the Meadow Trail, Pipeline Road, and Powder Mill Fire Road. All of these are easily accessible and easy to navigate. Your pup will love sniffing all of the new scents along the way. You will want to bring water and supplies for cleaning up with you. The giant redwoods provide plenty of shade. If you need a rest, there is a campground and also a picnic area to relax in. Grab your pup's leash and see how far you can go!

Seabright

This pawesome neighborhood has a beautiful beach that you and your canine companion will have a blast at! This neighborhood is located 7 miles from Felton and is home to the Seabright Beach. You need to keep your pup on a leash while you are here for their safety. Beware of the drop-off; don't let your bud go too far while exploring the ocean! Your furry friend will love the feel of the soft sand under his paws, and the water is usually calm for a nice dip. You will want to bring beach supplies, such as extra water, towels, an umbrella for shade, waste bags and some snacks in case you or your pooch get hungry. Grab your pup’s leash and stop by for a furrific day at the beach!

Twin Lakes

Twin Lakes State Beach is only 7 miles from Felton, which means you're never far from fun in the sun! This beach welcomes you and your pooch as long as your canine pal stays on their leash. The sand is soft and the surf is calm. There is a great view of the ocean and also a lighthouse in the distance. This beach has a lot of extras, including nearby parking, restrooms, and showers to hose the sand off out of your pup's fur. You and your furry friend could enjoy a nice BBQ over the pit at the beach -- just be sure to use the trash cans to dispose of debris and doggie waste bags. This is the pawfect place to watch the sun set with your best friend by your side!

Park Ave

This neighborhood has a great beach where you and your pooch can enjoy a nice stroll along the beach. The New Brighton Beach is located 11 miles from Felton, and, once you're here, your pup won't want to leave! The beach is not usually crowded, so if you're looking for a quiet beach adventure, this is the perfect spot. You can walk along the shoreline with your furry friend (as long as they're on a leash!) and take in the sights and smells of the ocean. You will want to bring along some water, a towel in case your pooch wants to cool off in the waves, an umbrella for shade, and some doggy waste bags.

Almaden

This San Jose neighborhood is located 30 miles from Felton, and is home to the Almaden Quicksilver County Park. This park has over 34.2 miles of dog-friendly walking trails which range from easy to challenging. They are all natural trails, and you can see some wildlife along the way. Your pooch will enjoy sniffing out all of the wildflowers that grow here. You will need to keep your canine friend on a 6' leash, have a current license, and provide proof of current vaccinations. The park has picnic tables along the trails, and the trees provide much needed shade. You will need to bring water and doggy waste bags. Locals advise that some of the trails have poison oak, so be aware of that while exploring.
