“Give every puppo a hug and a squeeze”

After close to 600 walks for canine clients, I've gained much confidence and experience to care for all kinds of puppos. Today I am a proud momma to a German Shepherd mix I adopted, and we're so happy together. Dogs are wonderful creatures. I often feel like we don't deserve such loyalty and undying affection. For all they do for us, I like to give back and remind them how much they are loved and appreciated.

Hi, my name is Brett and I'm looking forward to meeting your pup! Dogs bring the greatest joy to my life and I can never get enough. I have been the proud owner/human of two dogs in the past and believe they have been a key in living a happy life. Meeting a new dog is the high point in my day, especially knowing I get to play and satisfy them. I work in a customer service job so it's always nice to change to a species that really appreciates the simple things. Our best friends deserve nothing but the best!

My name is Mitra and I have a BA in psychology and more than 20 years experience working with dogs. I have raised service dog puppies, managed a dog kennel and dog daycare, worked as a dog trainer conducting basic obedience and drop in puppy socials, and have also worked and volunteered in animal shelters taking care of shelter dogs and cats, as well as assisting veterinarians with medicating and spay/neuter surgeries. I have grown up with dogs my whole life and have seen them from puppyhood to adulthood. In the past I worked with my poodle fornpet therapy at a hospice, and competed in AKC agility competitions with my previous australian shepherd. I currently reside with my two dogs Poet (an australian shepherd) and Trooper (a border collie/labrador cross we adopted from a local shelter). I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes, ages, and breeds. As a dog owner myself, I know the safety of your dog is very important and I will make sure your pet is properly leashed before leaving and will always take precautions with gates and door so they are safe before and after their walks!

Hi, I'm Casey! I grew up in Walnut Creek, and recently moved to Santa Cruz. My family has always owned at least one dog since I was born and I train them myself. I’ve been walking my dogs and dogsitting for my neighbors’ dogs (and cats) since I was 7 and love it! My grandpa owned a dog grooming business for while where I got some experience bathing dogs. I love all dogs big and small and I look forward to meeting yours!

Dog Walking in Freedom

Freedom is one of the magnificent little cities in Santa Cruz County in California. The city is close to some of the most beautiful beaches in California on the Monterey Bay. One of the largest cities in California, San Jose, is around 45 miles away from Freedom. Another pretty large city in the vicinity of Freedom is Salinas that is on around 22 miles away.

When it comes to places where you can spend some nights curled up next to your pup, there aren't any lodging options available in Freedom, other than the Airbnb rentals, but there is plenty of choice in Santa Cruz, just 15 miles from Freedom. Freedom does, however, have its own vet clinic to take care of your pup in case of emergency.

If you're in the mood for some coffee and you want to take your pup with you, visit the local Starbucks. For other places like restaurants, cafes, markets and plenty more, visit Santa Cruz.

A great place in the vicinity of Freedom where your pup is allowed to be off-leash is the Byrne-Milliron Forest. The forest can be found just 7 miles away from Freedom and it's a great place for hiking and exploring with your pup.

You and Fido will feel free in Freedom!

One of the greatest things in life is laying on a sandy beach on a sunny summer day. Even better? Doing all of that in the company of your pooch! For an experience like that in the vicinity of Freedom, head 15 miles northwest to Santa Cruz's shore, where you will find a dog-friendly beach called Seabright Beach. The even greater news is that, often, well-behaved doggies are allowed to dig in the sand and swim completely off-leash! If you decide to visit this awesome beach with your pup, be aware that there is a drop-off on the beach that you have to pay attention to.
