One of the best features of the Almond neighborhood is the amazing Martin J. Franich Dog Park. There are separate areas for large and small pups, and doggie waste bags are available. The water fountains for both you and your pup are great on a hot day when you both need a cool drink. There are benches in the shade when pup parents need a break and some relaxation. The dog park is located in the middle of the Martin J. Franich Park, so pooches and their human companions have a lot more options for outdoor fun. The playground, basketball and volleyball courts, and picnic and BBQ areas are perfect to make spending quality time with Fido fun for the entire family.

Pinto Lake Park
Pinto Lake County Park is 183-acres of open space in the Pinto Lake Park neighborhood. The area features a large dog park with a double door entry, and separate areas for big and small pups. While the dogs are running around sniffing butts, parents can sit in the shade and enjoy chatting with other canine lovers. There are water fountains and waste bags available, so puppy parents can keep the park clean. Outside the dog park, there is a beautiful lake and fishing pier in addition to a playground and disc golf course. The trails throughout the park are perfect for longer nature walks with Fido. If you need a place to stay, the nearby Comfort Inn allows two pets for an additional fee.

La Selva Beach
One of the best pup-friendly beaches is located in the La Selva Beach neighborhood at Manresa State Beach. Beautiful views of the sand and sea are just some of the highlights of this beach and park. You will need to keep Fido on a leash while on the beach, but he can hang out with you and enjoy the sun and fresh air. Pups are also welcome at the Manresa Uplands Campground, where you can pitch a tent or bring an RV and enjoy a few days of relaxation with Fido and the family. Hiking the trails with your pup at the Watsonville Slough National Wildlife Refuge is a great option if you are in the Seaview Ranch neighborhood. If you need a place to stay the night, Best Western Rose Garden Inn allows two pets of any size for an additional fee. The National 9 Motel will also accept pups for an additional fee.
