Griffith Park

If you are looking for a nice hike with your pooch, this huge park has just the trail for you! The Mount Hollywood Trail located in Griffith Park is about 16 miles from San Gabriel. This trail requires that your pup stay on their leash for the entire walk. The trail is 3 miles long and there are places along the trail to stop and take a break. You can grab a bite to eat or use the restroom at these stops. It's a good idea to make use of these facilities, since there is not much shade along this trail. La Brea

You'll need to show proof of current vaccinations and obtain a license for your dog. Your furry friend will love the soft grass under their paws and taking a nap under the shade trees. There is plenty of room to run around and explore on their own or make some new canine friends. Your pup won't get thirsty because there are water fountains to drink from. This park is perfect for owners, too! There is plenty of parking and several benches to sit on and watch your pup play.
