East Los Angeles

East Los Angeles

While you're in East Los Angeles, you'd be barking mad to miss out on Art District Dog Park. This is a small dog park, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in beauty. One side of the dog park features a large, colorful mural of doggie faces which makes for the pawfect photo op! The dog park itself is a small patch of dirt where Fido can get some exercise. A part of the area is fenced in for small dogs. A couple of mature trees grace the center of the dog park. Human companions have two benches to sit on. Don't forget to bring the water and waste bags!

Downtown Los Angeles

Downtown Los Angeles

Unsurprisingly, downtown LA is pawsitively packed with Fido-friendly things to do and see! You and your precious pup will have a hard time getting bored here, whether you're looking for dog-friendly recreation or nightlife. When you need some off-leash playtime, head to Grand Park Dog Park, located 200 N. Grand Avenue. This is a small urban dog park. A pink fence encircles this patch of dirt in the middle of downtown LA. There is no separate area for small dogs, though. A few pink metal benches line the perimeter of the dog park. There are water fountains for the dogs, and doggie bags are in good supply. This dog park is well-lit at night and open until 9 p.m.

Highland Park

Highland Park

LA's Highland Park neighborhood is one of the city's oldest and most historic. LA Weekly even named it LA's greatest neighborhood in 2013, so don't make the faux paw of not stopping by! Your first destination should be Hermon Park, also known as Arroyo Seco Park. This park is home to a large dog park that your pooch will love! The dog park has a separate enclosure for small dogs and plenty of room to run. The surface of this dog park looks like dirt, but is actually decomposed granite. This substance wipes off easily, so Fido won’t get dirty while playing. Water is readily available at the dog park. Doggie bags are fully stocked in dispensers around the park.

Venice is a pawpular neighborhood with tourists, particularly those with dogs in tow! This beachfront borough is quirky and bohemian, offering plenty of streetside entertainment and unique shopping opportunities as well as quiet residential quarters. Once you and your pooch have done some window shopping, paw on over to Westminster Dog Park. This furrific dog park features two separate sections for small and large breeds. Make sure to bring plenty of waste bags with you, since you're required to clean up after your pup. This dog park has great hours, from 5 AM to 10:30 PM, so you and your pup can play anytime!Keep reading
North Hollywood

North Hollywood

North Hollywood is a sprawling LA neighborhood that includes the famous NoHo Arts District. Home to art galleries, theaters, and TV sound studios, this is the pawfect place to be if you love all things entertainment! Fido probably won't appreciate the artsy stuff, though, so treat him with a visit to Whitnall Off-Leash Dog Park. This no-frills dog park has plenty of space for pups to run and play, as well as a separate area for small dogs. The park provides water and bowls for the dogs, as well as kiddie pools in the summer. This dog park is open from dawn to dusk. Don't forget the waste bags!
