Book nowMy name is Tony I have a blue nose pit bull that’s 4 years old. I’ve had a few dogs growing up some where my moms some where my grandmas but I’ve been around dogs since I was a baby. I know all the things you need to know about what dogs can and can’t eat and signs that dogs give to express how they are feeling and what calms them when they are scared or have anxiety. So I have a strong care for dogs and like being around them.

Best Dog Friendly Neighborhoods in Echo Park
Central Echo Park
Central Echo Park
If you live in Echo Park, you are extremely fortunate. Although you do not have access to any dog parks, you have many parks and a gigantic lake in your own backyard! If you feel like you and your furry friend need to get out of the house and into nature, head to Echo Park Lake or Vista Hermosa Natural Park. These locations are not dog parks, so you will have to keep your four-legged companion on a leash and take your own doggie poop bags. However, if you’re looking to have a fun, relaxing day at a beautiful location, these two options will not disappoint!
Los Angeles
Los Angeles
Although eight dog parks may seem like a low number for the City of Angels, you have to remember that there are a number of other outdoor locations and activities where your pooch is welcome. In addition to eight dog parks, you can take your dog to one of the many dog beaches and shopping areas, such as The Grove, that welcome dogs. Hey, if Hollywood A-listers can walk around their city toting their dogs in purses and strollers, so can you! Wherever you take your furry friend, you both are guaranteed to have a fantastic time in this gigantic city!
Pasadena
Pasadena
At only eleven miles from Echo Park is the city of Pasadena. It is home to only one dog park, Alice’s Dog Park. This park is basically a large stretch of land where your dog can run and play. The amenities are scarce, so you should definitely take your own water, toys and doggie poop bags. However, this is not the only place in Pasadena that welcomes dogs. You can also make your way to the Eaton Canyon Park and Nature Center, as well as the Strawberry Peak Trail, as long as you keep your four-legged friend leashed at all times.
Long Beach
Long Beach
If you truly love your most loyal companion as much as they love you, you will find no issue in driving approximately twenty-five miles to the city of Long Beach, located southwest of Echo Park. However, the six parks located in the area are not the only places that welcome dogs. You can also go to one of the many beaches in the area or wilderness trails. Furthermore, the city has plenty of outdoor activities, such as stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking that welcome dogs. But remember, this may not be suitable for all dogs. Trust us, you will have a furrrtabulous time!
Glendale
Glendale
Located only five miles away from your home in Echo Park is the city of Glendale. It is home to one dog park named the Griffith Park Dog Park. This park is extremely sparse with little grass and amenities. However, it is a great place to take a dog that really needs to stretch their legs and run around. Just make sure that you take your own doggie poop bags, toys and water. Furthermore, once you get bored at the dog park, you can always make your way to Verdugo Park. This is not an off-leash park, but dogs are welcome on the many hiking trails as long as they are leashed at all times.
