My name is Tony I have a blue nose pit bull that’s 4 years old. I’ve had a few dogs growing up some where my moms some where my grandmas but I’ve been around dogs since I was a baby. I know all the things you need to know about what dogs can and can’t eat and signs that dogs give to express how they are feeling and what calms them when they are scared or have anxiety. So I have a strong care for dogs and like being around them.

Burbank, California is home to over 50,000 pets. A large city nestled in between the San Fernando Valley and the Verdugo Mountains, Burbank is full of many recreational outdoor opportunities, making it the perfect place for you and Fido to enjoy.
There are two dog parks in Burbank. The first is located at the Bel Aire Ballefield, and is a non-fenced area. Be aware that dogs not under voice control can escape; there are also coyotes in the forested area. Make sure to bring your own water and clean up bags! The other park is the Whitnall Off-Leash Dog Area, which has a large dog and a small dog section. Shyer dogs are also allowed in the small dog section. Amenities range from water bowls and kiddie pools to extra toys and balls.
Need to take a peaceful hike in the middle of the city? Try the Chandler Bikeway, which was converted from a former railroad track in 2004. The wide, paved path has enough space for everybody to enjoy, from joggers and skaters to bikers, and of course, dog-walkers. It extends for two miles from Mariposa Street to Clybourn Avenue. Wildwood Canyon Park and Stough Canyon Nature Center also have some longer hiking trails in more rural settings.
Situated right next to Warner Brother Studios in Burbank, you will find Johnny Carson Park. Although this is not specifically a dog park, it is used as one by many Burbank residents. It is full of grass, flowers and trees that you can see by following the dirt path around the entire area. The park also has designated areas for children with playgrounds and picnic tables. If you like to exercise with your dog, it is the purrfect place! With the amount of dog owners that flock to the park to work out with their dogs, you and your dog are bound to make some new friends.
Located near Wildwood Canyon Park, you will find one of the most popular parks in Burbank. Situated among the bustling shops and restaurants in the city is the Bel Aire Ballfield. This park is known to attract families with small children and dog owners from the entire city. It is sort of a bare bones park, so you are expected to bring your own water, shade and cleaning supplies. This is a great park for you if you want to take a relaxing stroll with your loyal companion. Just make sure you bring a leash for the trail areas!
Located only twelve miles away from the heart of Burbank in Los Angeles is the Whitnall Off-Leash Park. Yes, it is exactly what it sounds like: an off-leash park geared towards making sure your pup has a pawsome day! The park is split up into zones according to dog sizes. This will help your dog socialize with other dogs the same size. In addition to the grassy lands, the park has ample watering bowls, cleaning supplies and toys! And if your prized pooch gets bored with the toys, you can always take them to the kiddie pool where they can cool off from the hot California sun.
If you drive a mere thirteen miles from Burbank, you will come across the city of La Crescenta, home to Crescenta Valley Dog Park. Like many other parks, it is split up into areas depending on dog size. These areas allow dogs to roam around without leashes so they can stretch their legs, get plenty of exercise and meet other puppies! The park itself has many amenities such as cleaning equipment, watering holes and benches for pet owners. The park has made a name for itself by bringing together pets and their owners from the entire Burbank and La Crescenta area.
Sometimes you just need to get out of your own neighborhood. It would do you and your dog some good to get a change of scenery. If you feel this rings true, take a 15 minute drive to Valley Village. It is home to Valley Village Park. Although this is not particularly a dog park, it is very furrriendly! If you keep your dog on a leash, you can take a stroll through the park and meet some new dogs and their owners. The park also has plenty of benches where you can sit, relax and read a book while your dog gets some quality time in the sun.
