Westridge-Canyonback Wilderness Park
If you are in the mood for something a little bit different than just hanging out in an enclosed park, then you absolutely have to check out the Westridge-Canyonback Wilderness Park. This park is located in Highland Park around 20 miles away from Van Nuys. This park offers a pawesome off-leash experience for your dogs in a safe fenced environment. There are two areas included in the park: one for small dogs and another one for large. The park includes trees for shade, benches for the human visitors to sit on, and water dispensers for the dogs. There are also dog toys in the park, so you won't need to bring anything but plenty of energy to play!

If you want to go on a more adventurous hike with mesmerizing views, then you must visit the Solstice Canyon. This canyon is located in Malibu, around 29 miles away from Van Nuys.
