Due to its' steadily increasing population, especially of young people, North Hollywood, California also boasts a burgeoning arts, culture, film, and recreational scene. In addition, North Hollywood, or NoHo, is home to many exciting pet-friendly attractions, especially for those pups who love getting outside.
The sole dog park in NoHo is called the Whitnall Off-Leash Dog Park. It has two separate fenced-in areas, one for small or shy dogs, and one for large dogs, as well as plenty of toys, covered seating, bags and scoopers, and water bowls. Always filled with local residents, the park is a great place to give Fido a chance to make new friends.
Ready to hit the trails? The Fryman Canyon Loop Trail is just a few minutes away. Meandering through two parks (the Wilacre Park and the Coldwater Canyon Park), the popular 3-mile path ends with a scenic view of the valley.
If you're in search, or on the lookout, for something a little rougher, the Wildwood Canyon Park Trail is a solid option. While the trail is only 2-miles long, most of it is uphill, offering a heart-pumping challenge for you and your four-legged friend. Be aware that nearby is the Burbank Police firing range, so dogs who are frightened of loud noises should steer clear.
